Adly Fairuz Promises Graduation from the Police Academy via Backdoor, Allegedly Scams Victims up to Rp3.6 Billion

The handsome actor Adly Fairuz is once again entangled in a serious legal issue. The ex-husband of Angbeen Rishi is suspected of being involved in a fraud and embezzlement case by promising admission to the Police Academy (Akpol). This case surfaced after the victim felt deceived and suffered losses amounting to billions of rupiah.

Farly Lumopa, the attorney for the plaintiff, revealed the chronology of the case which began with the intention of a relative of his client, Abdul Hadi, to register his child at Akpol. During this process, a figure named Agung Wahyono emerged, claiming to be instructed by Adly Fairuz to find prospective students who wanted to enter through special channels.

"Initially, it was like this, both Abdul Hadi and Agung Wahyono are my friends, and both of them are former clients of mine. I recently found out that Agung Wahyono was instructed by Adly Fairuz to find someone willing to join the police," he said when met in the Panglima Polim area, Kebayoran, South Jakarta, on Friday (09/01/2026).

Adly Fairuz is said to have demanded a fantastic reward of Rp3.65 billion with a guarantee of passing. He even claimed to have a familial relationship with a former ruler, which made him more convincing in the eyes of the victim who was trying to help his child pass.

However, the sweet promises never materialized. After two failed attempts in 2023 and 2024, the victim's side finally demanded a refund because they felt deceived. Mediation was attempted, and Adly agreed to return the money in installments through a notarial agreement.

"Adly Fairuz agreed to return. A letter was made with the intention in front of a notary. He said every month he would give 500 million in repayment until September 2025," explained Farly regarding the contents of the agreement.

Unfortunately, that good faith did not last long. Adly only paid the first installment of Rp500 million in May. After that, he was reported to have defaulted on his obligations until the repayment deadline on September 15 passed without any action.

As a result of this default, the victim's party finally filed a civil lawsuit at the South Jakarta District Court. They demanded Adly to pay off the remaining debt along with the compensation that had been previously agreed upon.

The first civil trial is scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 8, 2026. The legal team hopes Adly can attend and fulfill his obligations like a man.
