Inara Rusli Reports Allegations of Child Being Forcibly Taken by Virgoun to the National Commission for Child Protection, Communication Access Now Cut Off

The feud between Inara Rusli and Virgoun has entered a new chapter following an official report to the National Commission for Child Protection (Komnas Anak). Inara reported allegations of forcibly taking the child and cutting off communication access conducted by Virgoun's party.

This report has raised concerns from the National Commission for Child Protection as it pertains to the child's basic right to receive love from both parents equally. Agustinus Sirait, the Chairman of the National Commission for Child Protection, outlined the main points of the complaint made by Inara Rusli.

According to the report, the children were taken without the consent of the party who has legal custody. In addition, there have been complaints about the difficulty the mother has had in communicating with her child since the incident occurred some time ago.

"As we mentioned yesterday, there is a report from the mother who has custody of the child, that her child was forcibly taken without the consent of those who have the right to care for the child," said Agustinus Sirait in his office in the Pasar Rebo area, East Jakarta, Tuesday (3/2/2026).

Based on the information received by the National Commission for Child Protection, there are restrictions on the use of communication devices, which ultimately affects the relationship between the child and the mother.

Although limiting gadgets for children is a positive thing, if it is used as a tool to close off communication with one of the parents, then it is considered a violation of the Child Protection Law. "There are difficulties in communication. For example, they can't use their phones, but children are indeed better off with limited phone usage," he explained.

In the initial counseling process, Inara mentioned that she always gives Virgoun full access when the children are in her care.

In fact, Inara admitted to providing space for Virgoun to stay overnight and interact with the children to maintain their emotional bond. This is what she regrets now, as Inara feels the opposite. "He said we give full access even to the point of staying at his house. 'If they stay at his house, I step out to allow them, the father and children to interact, share affection, and so on,'" she said.

Responding to the phenomenon of parental disputes that often make children the victims, Agustinus delivered a very profound message. He reminded that failure in nurturing a household should not be followed by failure in fulfilling the role of a parent. "Through this incident, we are also campaigning, yes, I think when we can fail, once again yes it is okay to fail as a husband and wife, but we ask not to fail as parents," he said.
