Moment of Princess Zaskia Adya Mecca Forgives the TNI Member Who Hit Her Staff

There was a touching moment during the trial of the staff assault case involving Zaskia Adya Mecca at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta, Wednesday (15/4/2026). KM, Zaskia's daughter, finally met directly with the defendant Praka NC alias Niko who assaulted one of her staff members.

In that meeting, the defendant Niko expressed a sincere apology in front of KM. KM admitted that she was moved and forgave the perpetrator after hearing the concerning condition that the defendant's family was experiencing during his detention.

"I forgive because he apologized and explained why. It's sad because he can't meet his mother, wife, and loved ones for a long time, that's pitiful," said KM when met by Kapanlagi at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta, East Jakarta, Wednesday (15/4/2026).

Zaskia Adya Mecca then elaborated further on the confession of the defendant Niko in the courtroom. It turned out that when the assault incident occurred, the defendant's emotional condition was unstable due to heavy family problems.

"So earlier he said that he regrets it because at that time the situation was chaotic, his wife had to undergo surgery, and his mother was in critical condition. He immediately apologized to KM, explaining," said Zaskia Adya Mecca.

"The effect is that he can't go anywhere because he is detained, even when his mother is in critical condition he can't see her. There are no mobile phones, nothing, so communication is cut off," he continued.

KM himself felt confused when he first met because the defendant's face was different from what he remembered. However, after hearing the explanation and honest confession from Niko, KM felt that his burden of fear had lessened.

"At first, I was a bit confused because his face was covered at first, so it was still a bit... like that," said KM.

"And Uncle Niko has been honest and said it as it is. He said Uncle Niko has been detained for a long time. He said Uncle Niko can't do anything while being detained," Zaskia added.

Through this incident, Zaskia gave deep advice to her children who were present accompanying KM. She wants her children to learn about self-control so that they do not take reckless actions that could harm themselves and their family.

"And thank God because my children also participated, so they learn what the effects of their emotions are. They see it directly, and they also see the legal process here. So that's why if you are angry, you have to hold it back. If it explodes, the losses are very great, right?" concluded Zaskia.
