The Life Story of Kairi Becomes an Inspiration in the Film 'NOBODY LOVES KAY'

A new coming-of-age drama film titled NOBODY LOVES KAY was officially introduced through an exclusive Media Gathering event. This film is a collaboration between ONIC, Visinema Pictures, and several production houses that draws inspiration from the life journey of the renowned pro-player, Kairi Rayosdelsol.

The young man from the Philippines, known by his stage name ONIC Kairi, feels very proud that his story is being brought to the big screen. He admitted he never imagined that his career journey in the world of Mobile Legends would be immortalized in an emotional feature film.

"First of all, I’m definitely proud. And maybe my reaction if... my reaction back then if I knew I would have a movie would be, 'Wow, how could that happen?'. That’s for sure. I really didn’t expect it," Kairi said when met in the Meruya area, West Jakarta, on Tuesday (05/05/2026).

Kairi also did not forget to express his gratitude to the management team of the yellow porcupine who have supported him since the beginning of his career in Indonesia until he reached the pinnacle of success.

"I just want to say thank you to ONIC, to Boss Sonic, to Justin Jaya, and to the ONIC staff who have believed in me from the start," continued the young man who has now become a new idol in the world of E-sports with a face full of emotion.

Kairi believes that the film NOBODY LOVES KAY will be very relevant to many people, especially those who are diligently pursuing their dreams. According to him, his journey at the beginning of his career was filled with doubts and judgments from the people around him.

"I think many people would relate to this story, especially with how Kairi started. Because at first, he didn't really have anyone to support him. I mean there was his family, but other than that, there was a lot of judgment, there were a lot of doubts," said Kairi.

He emphasizes the importance of having strong self-confidence in the midst of a barrage of skeptical comments from the outside environment. For him, believing in oneself is the main capital in conquering challenges to achieve the highest dreams that are often considered impossible.

"Yeah, I think the really important thing is for you guys and for all of us to just trust ourselves. That's how you can chase your dreams," concluded the E-sport athlete who has a significant influence in the competitive scene of the country.

The film NOBODY LOVES KAY tells the story of Kay, an ONIC pro-player who struggles from square one despite being underestimated by his surroundings. He must face the breakdown of his friendship with Ido and Aurelio, leading to his dismissal from the team, but he refuses to give up to prove his existence. This film is scheduled to be released in cinemas across Indonesia starting June 4, 2026.
