The Sons of Maudy Koesnaedi and Diah Permatasari Become Models for the Indonesian Team Jersey for the 2026 Asian Games

The official jersey of the Indonesian Team for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, which was just launched on September 3, 2026, has captured public attention. It's not just about the design; the two figures who modeled in the jersey photoshoot are also in the spotlight because they are the sons of senior artists from the homeland, Eddy Maliq Meijer, the son of Maudy Koesnaedi, and Marciano Nicholas Reynard, affectionately known as Marco, the son of Diah Permatasari.

This time, the Indonesian Team jersey is the result of a collaboration between Sarinah as the design curator and Mills as the Official Apparel Partner, in partnership with renowned designer Ghea Panggabean through Ghea Fashion Studio. 

This collaboration marks 45 years of Ghea Panggabean's dedication to preserving Nusantara textiles, resulting in a blend of the elegance of traditional textiles with modern performance needs.

Eddy Meijer and Marco appeared sporty wearing matching black jerseys for their fitted tops and bottoms, giving a strong and assertive impression.

In another shot, Eddy wore a sleeveless jersey while Marco sported a short-sleeved jersey, giving a bold impression with dark red colors and shorts.

This uniform design features Gorga ornaments, traditional Toba carving art that symbolizes strength and protection, combined with the Limar fabric motif typical of South Sumatra that represents honor, excellence, and glory.

Eddy and Marco are not new to the world of national team jersey modeling. Both have previously been chosen as models for the Indonesian Team jersey for the Paris 2024 Olympics designed by Didit Hediprasetyo.

Eddy Meijer, Maudy Koesnaedi's son, looks cool in an all-white training outfit complete with a cap featuring the Garuda Indonesia logo. Both Eddy and Marco are indeed known for being active in the basketball world since their teenage years, which makes their tall stature suitable for a sportswear photoshoot.

On the other hand, Marco is wearing a red jersey with logos on the upper left and right. Their athletic builds make the Indonesian team jersey stand out even more this time.

The launch of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games jersey took place ahead of the departure of the Indonesian contingent, which will compete from September 19 to October 4, 2026, in Japan.
