Umi Pipik's Story Still Gives a Deterrent Effect Against Netizens Who Bully Even After Forgiving

Umi Pipik admitted to forgiving two netizens who bullied her, but she supports her son, Abidzar Al Ghifari, who has taken legal action to provide a deterrent effect so that bullying is not taken lightly and becomes a lesson for society. Read more below!

"This is a lesson for anyone, whether a father or a child, we want to inform that bullying is not good. Even the government is currently studying and promoting issues regarding bullying. This is a lesson for anyone," she stated as quoted by detikhot, on Monday (5/5/2025).

"If it's just an apology, tomorrow there will be many people like that saying 'it's so easy, public figures will forgive'. It shouldn't be like that. It has to be a lesson, a deterrent effect for anyone; we are not playing around with bullying," he explained further.

He refused to reconcile to prevent similar incidents and fully supports the legal actions taken by Abidzar.

"I don't want to make peace. My children and I have forgiven, but this is based on everyone's consultation for a deterrent effect. We are public figures, we need to let people know," he said.

Previously, Abidzar Al-Ghifari reported two netizens who allegedly insulted his mother, Umi Pipik, via social media. He filed a legal notice through his attorney, Rendy Anggara Putra.

"We are in a rule of law country, my lawyer has taken legal steps, so I leave it to the legal process. Here, it should be emphasized that if the government is promoting anti-bullying, if this is allowed, it will be emulated by children," he said.

I hope this can be a lesson for netizens, so they won't carelessly give bad comments to others. Freedom of expression is allowed, but not to insult, okay.
