Lexi Minetree caught attention after playing the character Elle Woods in the series ELLE, a prequel to the movie LEGALLY BLONDE starring Reese Witherspoon. The 25-year-old actress admitted she learned about the open casting after five of her friends contacted her directly.
"People have always said I look like Reese Witherspoon. My friends immediately said, 'You have to audition,'" she recalled.
Lexi revealed that the casting process lasted about eight months and was attended by more than 5,000 participants. To catch the attention of the production team, she even recreated Elle Woods' Harvard application video from the movie LEGALLY BLONDE.
"She is very nice. After we acted together, Reese told me that I got this role. That was one of the best days of my life," she said.
Lexi also admitted to receiving a lot of input from Reese Witherspoon. One of the most memorable pieces of advice she received was that Elle Woods always chooses to be a good person, even to those who have hurt her.
