Chemistry Developed in the Film 'KUNCEN', The Friendship of Davina Karamoy & The Cast Continues to the Padel Court

Azela Putri revealed that the chemistry between them developed naturally since the script reading session. The relaxed and playful atmosphere made it easy for them to become close to each other.

"From the start of the reading, we joked around a lot, and when I read the script, there were many scenes that were quite melodramatic, so we talked a lot and hung out together. Gradually, the chemistry developed on its own," Azela Putri stated when met at Epicentrum XXI, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Thursday (30/10/2025).

Vonny Felicia, or Fonzi, added that the workshop process they went through together also greatly helped to mature their interactions, making everything feel easier during shooting.

"Because we had already trained during reading, the workshop in reading, so we just need to repeat what we trained actually," Fonzi added.

Interestingly, their friendship bond did not stop after the shooting process was completed. The KUNCEN cast still often spends time together, one of which is by playing padel.

"Yes, coincidentally, there is the Queen of Padel in South Jakarta here, Davina Karamoy. Maybe one of the things we do is exercise together, which has indeed been emphasized since the beginning of production," said Fonzi.

Davina Karamoy even revealed a unique fact that her introduction to the sport of padel actually started from invitations from other KUNCEN players.

"The fun fact is, for me maybe, along with some other cast members, the first time playing padel was with the Kuncen cast. Through them, we finally tried padel there for the first time," reminisced Davina.

The camaraderie that has developed is believed to be an added value for the film KUNCEN, which tells the adventure of a group of friends facing terror in a village without a keyholder. The film will be released starting November 6, 2025.
