Kapanlagi.com - An emotional atmosphere enveloped the launch event of the official trailer for the latest horror film titled CERITA LILA. Sara Wijayanto, who is the author of the book Wingit and part of the Diary Misteri Sara (DMS) team, appeared unable to hold back her tears as she watched the film's trailer for the first time with fellow media and fans.
This moment was particularly crucial for Sara because the film CERITA LILA is an
adaptation of a supernatural exploration that she has worked hard to maintain its originality. Her presence at the event was accompanied by producers and other cast members who also felt moved to see the final result of a production that took quite a long time.

Sara admitted that her feelings were mixed because she felt a moral responsibility towards the characters portrayed in this film. For her, conveying a message from a different world onto the big screen is not an easy task.
"Oh, so this is it, I’m getting emotional, oh, there I go crying again. Hello everyone. This, this is actually what, we’ve been working on this for a long time, and aligning our vision to tell a story is not easy," said Sara Wijayanto when met in the Kasablanka area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (06/05/2026).

This 47-year-old woman feels very touched by the dedication of the actors in the film CERITA LILA. According to her, the performances of the actors are not just about following the script, but rather about using deep emotions so that the message reaches the depths of the heart.
"They are really amazing. I feel like... if I'm not mistaken, after watching the preview, I messaged them one by one. I said something like, thank you... I'm crying again," said the wife of magician Demian Aditya while wiping away tears.

She also feels grateful because the production house MVP Pictures has upheld its promise to maintain the integrity of the story that she brought from her real-life exploration experiences.

It turns out that the launch of the film's trailer coincided with the actress's birthday. This makes its release feel much more meaningful and becomes a significant achievement for Sara's career in the Indonesian film industry after a long time supporting the DMS team.
"So coincidentally today is my birthday. This is one of my best gifts, birthday gifts. Thank you, terima kasih," said Sara, who was immediately greeted with joyful cheers from her loyal fans present at the location.

Gereksi, as the screenwriter, stated that this film does not just present physical fear, but rather horror that drains emotions. He feels both in love and pity for the fate of the characters he wrote together with Abdal during the quarantine process.

Meanwhile, Abdal recounted that writing a story based on true events has a very different and much heavier energy. The pressure to convey the feelings experienced by the original characters requires the writers to conduct in-depth research with direct guidance from Sara Wijayanto.

The film CERITA LILA tells a supernatural journey about two twin children named Lila and Lili who experience a tragic fate as they are murdered by their own mother. The story focuses on Lila who tries to find her twin, Lili, in a different realm, which also brings deep mysteries and a sense of loss. CERITA LILA is set to be released in cinemas across Indonesia on June 18, 2026.
