El Putra Sarira has been cast as Rangga in the film RANGGA & CINTA. This film is a remake of the hit movie from 23 years ago, ADA APA DENGAN CINTA (AADC). In a recent roundtable session at the KapanLagi office, El Putra Sarira shared his impressions of watching the movie AADC, which was released before he was born. As is known, El Putra Sarira was born on December 24, 2003, while the film AADC was released in early 2002.

El Putra Sarira mentioned that he watched the movie AADC 2 (2016) in full first before watching the first film in 2002.
"If I actually watched the full version starting from AADC 2 first. The first AADC I feel like I’ve seen bits of it on social media or streaming platforms," said El Putra.
The man born in Makassar stated that he only watched the full AADC first film when he was about to audition.
"But I had never watched it in full before, it was actually when I watched the full version that I was about to audition for the film RANGGA & CINTA," he continued.
When watching the first AADC movie, El Putra admitted he never imagined he could become Rangga in this legendary film remake.
"I could only imagine that at that time it was more like wanting to prepare for casting, so it wasn't like I had to become Rangga, no. It was just like really preparing to take a very, very big opportunity especially for such a legendary film," he concluded.
El Putra Sarira was announced as the cast member on February 26, 2025, after going through an audition process held from April to September 2024.
Interestingly, RANGGA & CINTA is El Putra's debut work, who has completed his higher education in the Computer Engineering department at Dipa Makassar University.
The film RANGGA & CINTA, which is a remake of the hit film ADA APA DENGAN CINTA? (2002) or AADC, will be released in theaters on October 2, 2025, across the country.
