The collaboration of Visinema, Indonesia Kaya, and Jakarta Art House will stage Home Sweet Loan The Musical 23 times at Graha Bhakti Budaya, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta, from September 30 to October 18, 2026.

Indonesia Kaya's Program Manager, Billy Gamaliel, emphasized that this collaboration aims to present performing arts that are relevant to everyday life while also expanding the creative space for artists.

"Indonesia Kaya believes that performing arts have the power to present stories that are close to people's lives while also opening up space for the emergence of new works that are relevant to their time," said Billy Gamaliel during a press conference at GIK, Central Jakarta, Thursday (6/8).

This performance brings Kaluna's journey to life through a blend of acting, music, choreography, and a live orchestra. The story, which has been known through the novel and film, is developed into a stage experience with an emphasis on the inner struggles of the main character.

Billy added that Home Sweet Loan The Musical also involves alumni from the Intensive Creative Space for Indonesia's Rich Cultural Musical as part of the creative team and the cast. Their involvement is expected to strengthen the ecosystem of Indonesian musical theater while also opening opportunities for new works to emerge in the future.

Meanwhile, Visinema Producer Cristian Imanuell revealed that this adaptation is not just about transferring the story from screen to stage. The creative team strives to explore the emotional side of Kaluna that has not yet been fully conveyed through the previous medium.

"From the beginning, we believed that Home Sweet Loan is not just about buying a house, but about many people who have been carrying responsibilities without ever really asking if they themselves are okay," Cristian stated.

In addition to presenting a more in-depth story, this show is also strengthened by five original songs by Idgitaf that will be part of the storyline. The music is combined with live orchestra arrangements to enhance the emotions in each scene presented.

Home Sweet Loan The Musical stars Kalya Islamadina and Chintana Jo as two interpretations of Kaluna. They are supported by 11 other main actors, 24 ensemble performers, and more than 50 creative individuals involved in the production process.
