How Adipati Dolken Builds Chemistry with a Cow in the Movie Mojoku Hilang!

Kapanlagi.com - Adipati Dolken building chemistry with other actors and actresses? That's common! In his latest project titled Mojoku Hilang!, directed by Min Lim and scheduled to be released in Indonesian theaters on August 28, he builds chemistry with a cow!

In this film, Adipati plays the role of Adi, a corporate slave who is ambitious to promote a cow named Mojo, who becomes the main star of the story.

During a Q&A session at the press screening of the film Mojoku Hilang! at CGV fX Sudirman, Jakarta, on Monday (24/8/2026), Adipati shared how he had to build chemistry with Mojo.

“Building chemistry with Mojo indeed has its process. Every day we wake up early to bathe him, feed him, and talk, even though I’m actually the one doing all the talking because he just stays silent,” he revealed.

Adipati also explained that the process is not always easy. He had to follow Mojo's desires to ensure the cow was comfortable and willing to interact.

“If he doesn’t want to eat, we try to entice him to eat and move. If he still doesn’t want to, we just sit and wait for him to want to eat again. It is indeed quite difficult, but that’s the process and we enjoy it,” he said.

1. Difficulties During Casting and Reading

In addition to the challenges of interacting with Mojo, Adipati also faced difficulties during casting. He admitted that he had to make up to 20 videos for auditions because he felt he wasn't good enough.

“I ended up making 20 videos for casting because I felt like I wasn't good enough. So it felt like still lacking, still lacking, still lacking. I also took quite a long time to respond to their offer because I wasn't sure I could do it. But in the end, I sent 20 videos and got accepted,” he revealed.

During the reading process, Adipati experienced difficulties with the Malay language, which made his colleagues a bit disappointed. However, with support from Mimi Lana and other cast members, he managed to overcome that challenge.

“During the reading, they were a bit disappointed because I couldn't speak Malay. But they were patient until eventually, everyone helped me,” he said.

However, this action leads to the exploitation of the animal, which makes local farmers in Perlis feel uneasy.

One of the opponents of Adi's actions is Ayu, a strong woman from the village who catches Adi's attention. Tensions rise when Mojo is kidnapped by locals, and Adi must disguise himself as a villager to blend in with the local community.
