Kapanlagi.com - The film PEMIKAT JIWA produced by Makara Production and directed by Dom Dharmo successfully held its gala premiere on Tuesday (30/4) last week. This psychological horror genre film was attended by many film enthusiasts and invited guests at the gala premiere event, including 36 Movieverse members who were also invited. The excitement of the special event was further enhanced by the presence of the cast, such as Fajar Nugra, Givina Lukita, Erdin Wedrayana, etc., during the red carpet moment, where they greeted the audience present.

The thrill of the film PEMIKAT JIWA continued during the watch together session held by Movieverse members after the film officially premiered in theaters. The watch together event took place on Tuesday (14/7) at Blok M Plaza XXI. A total of 33 Movieverse members enthusiastically participated in this special event.

The film focuses on the story of Jay (Fajar Nugraha), a chicken seller who desperately uses love magic due to his obsession with Wulan (Givina). The ritual successfully makes Wulan leave her fiancé, Damar (Erdin Wedrayana). Wulan loves Jay in an unnatural way, but all of this soon turns into terror when Wulan is possessed by a very brutal supernatural being, showing the negative impact of the black magic ritual performed by Jay. Various comments were given by Movieverse members for this film.

Andre: The ghost is really tall, my favorite is Jay's expression, really like those chicken vendors who are so in love it makes you cringe and feel sick. Yeah, this is the Indonesian version of obsession, forcing love with the wrong kind of help.

Sucira: True to its title, soul captivating, the film also captivates the audience haha. Not expecting the film to be good, but the story is spine-chilling. It feels like if it really happened in real life, it would be really scary, but it seems there are real stories like this. The story is exciting and doesn't get boring while watching, there are jump scares. Here, I'm not afraid of the ghost, it's more about Jay.

The dark cinematography combined with effective sound design successfully creates consistent tension throughout the film.
