When summoned to the palace by the king (Cho Seung-woo), he is paired with Saeng-gang (Roh Yoon-seo), a palace maid who can hear the voices of spirits, to uncover the source of a deadly curse in the East Palace. As the two travel between life and death under the secret orders of the king, they begin to unveil the mystery of the curse that is deeply rooted in the royal family's past.

The voices of spirits screaming in the king's ears vow to erase all traces of the royal lineage. The latest poster shows Gu-cheon and Saeng-gang as a team under the king's command. Standing in the middle of a pool shrouded in a dark red aura from the Gwi World, Gu-cheon is bound by rough ropes that Saeng-gang pulls with all his might. The poster hints at how they work together to uncover palace secrets and confront spirits hiding behind the borders.

"From the first time I saw Nam Joo-hyuk, I was sure he would be the one to step into the Gwi World and face his destiny," said director Choi Jung-kyu. "The East Palace is a story that he must lead, and I believe he has a strong passion for acting and a high sense of responsibility."

Regarding Roh Yoon-seo, he expressed: "Every time I watch her previous works, I feel she always finds a way out. I am confident her charm and natural strength are a perfect fit for the role of Saeng-gang. Working with her, I realized she is a truly brave actress, and I was moved to see her perform with such straightforwardness and authenticity."

Speaking about the reunion with Cho Seung-woo, Choi added, "Since we worked together before, I wanted to collaborate with Cho Seung-woo again, and The East Palace fulfills that dream. He is very meticulous with every little detail in building a character. Once the camera starts rolling, that preparation transforms into very powerful acting. Witnessing his transformation creates an incredible sense of catharsis."
