Promote Regional Uniqueness, Local MSME Booth from South Kalimantan Captivates Attention at the Nusantara Textile Parade 2025
On the first day, the typical Sasirangan from South Kalimantan got a stage that made it shine even brighter.
Kapanlagi.com - Fimela.com successfully held the Nusantara Textile Parade 2025 on August 8-10, 2025, at Kota Kasablanka, Jakarta. Carrying the theme 'The Elegance of Textiles in Everyday Wear', this event featured three full days of cultural heritage celebration through a series of inspiring events including a fashion show, creative competitions, educational talk shows, and stunning musical performances.
The Harmonizing Textiles segment showcased works by national designers Wignyo Rahardi and Deden Siswanto, who transformed traditional fabrics from local artisans into ready-to-wear garments with a modern character. This collection combines batik, woven fabrics, and songket with contemporary design touches relevant to the younger generation.
No less interesting, the Textile Design Competition presented five finalists of young designers competing in creativity to design garments with a strong cultural identity. Their works were judged directly by a panel consisting of senior designers and fashion industry practitioners.

The Nusantara Textile Parade 2025 is also enlivened by a series of activities such as the Textile Booth filled with MSMEs, inspirational talkshows on Textile Stories with figures from the textile craft industry, local government, and content creators who love textiles, namely Cadbury Lemonade and Roman Nuansa. The presence of hundreds of textile lovers, fashion enthusiasts, and cultural figures makes this event one of the largest textile celebrations in Indonesia this year.
With the spirit of #ProudToWearTextiles, this year's Nusantara Textile Parade aims to show that traditional Indonesian fabrics can look cool, modern, and relevant in any situation. No longer is there an old notion that textiles are merely a fashion statement, and everyone can wear them in their own style.
"This event is not just about fashion, but also about identity and pride. We want to invite the community to #ProudToWearTextiles, especially the youth, to see textiles as something relevant that can be part of their lifestyle," said Ellyana Mae, Editor in Chief of Fimela.com.
