Priyanka has introduced Hinduism to her daughter since early on. This decision is supported by Nick Jonas, who also accompanied his child and wife to a Hindu Temple in America.

In addition to the Elmo-themed party, Priyanka also took Malti Marie to the Temple. At the Temple, Malti received a traditional Indian flower arrangement.
Although unable to go back to India, Priyanka still took Malti to pray at a Hindu Temple in America.
During the joint prayer at the Temple, Priyanka and Nick Jonas' mother also participated. They offered prayers for Malti on her 1st birthday.
For Priyanka and Nick Jonas, Malti's presence is a miracle. Malti was born through a surrogate mother.
Priyanka didn't expect to be able to have Malti, because her health condition was problematic and so was Nick's. That's what made them choose a surrogate mother to give birth to Malti.
Malti's condition, being born prematurely and being treated in the hospital for 3 months, made Priyanka endlessly grateful that her daughter is now growing up healthy and beautiful.
