The couple, who have previously been blessed with one biological child, have released an official statement after rumors circulated that Kareena is pregnant. They express their gratitude for the prayers offered to Kareena.
"With joy, we announce that we are now awaiting the arrival of a new member in our family! Thank you for all the prayers, support, and love you have given," said Saif and Kareena in their statement.
With this pregnancy, the status of Taimur Ali Khan, who has been the youngest in Kareena and Saif's family, now changes to becoming an older sibling.
Before Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan announced their second pregnancy, rumors that the actress was pregnant had been circulating in India for some time. However, when asked about this news, only Kareena's father, Randhir Kapoor, was willing to speak up.
To the media, Randhir revealed that he was unaware of the news. But if it is true, he would be very happy to welcome the birth of a new grandchild.
"I hope the rumors are true, and if they are, I will be very happy. One should have two children so that they have a companion," said Randhir.
As mentioned earlier, this pregnancy feels like a promise fulfilled by Kareena. Two years ago, in mid-2018, Kareena answered questions from journalists about her second pregnancy.
