Legendary Bollywood Actor Dilip Kumar Passes Away at the Age of 98, Buried Like a Hero

Kapanlagi.com - Sad news comes from the world of Bollywood cinema which has just lost its legendary actor, Dilip Kumar. After several years of going in and out of the hospital, Dilip breathed his last at the age of 98.

As reported by BBC.com, Dilip was admitted to the hospital since June 30, 2021. He complained of difficulty breathing and immediately received treatment at one of the hospitals in Mumbai.

However, after a week of treatment, Dilip could not survive. The actor who starred in more than 65 films passed away on Wednesday, (7/7).

Without waiting long, the burial process of Dilip was immediately carried out on the same day. His body was buried around 17.00 local time.

The burial process of Dilip was carried out in a heroic protocol. The Indian government honored the deceased by sending the police to bury Dilip and hoisted the Indian flag over his body.

Saira Banu Khan, Dilip's wife, expressed her gratitude to the Indian government and PM Narendra Modi. She was touched that her husband was honored as a hero.

The death of Dilip Kumar not only left sorrow for his family. Bollywood celebrities like Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan also felt deep grief.

In Bollywood, Dilip was a respected legendary actor. His works became legends and are still remembered to this day. More than 65 of his films have been released and some of them have been remade.

Dilip left behind a wife and had no children. Until the end of his life, Dilip was a faithful man to his beloved wife, Saira Banu.
