Until now, transgender people still provoke pros and cons among society. However, recently two transgender individuals in India went viral everywhere because of their unique relationship. So the male party, Zahad, originally a woman, while Ziya Paval, the woman, was originally a man.
Now they have a child after Zahad decided to get pregnant because he still has a womb and ovaries. This is their story!
Ziya Paval (21) and Zahad (23) are a transgender couple living in the southern state of Kerala, India. Although both of them want to change their gender, the desire to become parents is still strong within them.
Therefore, Zahad, who used to be a woman but now identifies as a man, decided to get pregnant.
Like fate, Ziya and Zahad met three years ago. Besides being transgender, they were also estranged from their respective families, which eventually led them to decide to be together.
As reported by BBC, Ziya comes from a conservative Muslim family who did not want their son to learn dance. He then left home and learned to dance at a transgender community center.
Meanwhile, Zahad, who now has a very masculine appearance, comes from a Christian family. He left his family after coming out as transgender and now works at a supermarket.
Ziya and Zahad decided to have a child a year and a half ago. Because Zahad's uterus and ovaries had not been removed, she agreed to become pregnant. Their hormone therapy was then stopped so that Zahad could conceive their child.
Thanks to this pregnancy, Zahad was accepted back by her family. She even announced the pregnancy through maternity photoshoots after being allowed by her mother.
Both of them mentioned that what they did is rare in India. They can be considered the first biological parents in India who are transgender.
This couple's child has just been born into the world. They have decided not to show the face of their long-awaited little one for now.
After the birth of this child, they can continue hormone therapy if they want to become a 'real' transgender. What do KLovers think?
