Rani Mukherjee Turns Out to Have Miscarried Her Second Child During the Covid-19 Pandemic, Revealed to the Public After 3 Years

This fact was revealed by Rani during her recent attendance at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne in Australia. As reported by Hidustantimes.com, Rani mentioned that her pregnancy occurred at the end of 2020.

"Perhaps this is the first time I'm revealing this, because today every aspect of our lives is discussed publicly and becomes an agenda to talk about films to attract more viewers. Of course, I didn't talk about this during my film promotions, because it would attract more attention than my own film. So, around the time when Covid-19 hit, it was in 2020. I was pregnant with my second child at the end of 2020 and unfortunately, I lost my baby at 5 months pregnant," said Rani.

2. Accepting New Film Script After Miscarriage for 10 Days

Her own story eventually led Rani to accept the project of the film MRS CHATTERJEE VS NORWAY. This film tells the story of a mother who struggles to not be separated from her child.

"After losing my baby, Nikhil Advani (one of the producers of MRS CHATTERJEE VS NORWAY) contacted me. About 10 days after I had a miscarriage, he called me. He told me the script and I immediately agreed. I didn't have to miscarry first to feel the emotions of this film. But when I experienced it myself, the connection with the story was instantly made. When I heard the story, I couldn't believe it. I never thought that a country like Norway and an Indian family would have to go through such a story," she continued.

3. First Child Born Premature

From her marriage to Aditya Chopra, Rani has one daughter who is now 8 years old. When she was born, Rani's first child was born two months earlier than expected.

Fortunately, despite being born prematurely, Rani's first child survived. Now Rani's first child has started school, but she still keeps her face hidden until now.
