Shahid Kapoor Remembers Difficult Times, Living in a Rented House - Didn't Have Money to Buy Clothes

Shahid recounted, "I lived in a rented house and went to many auditions. I never felt privileged." Although his father was already famous in the film industry, Shahid felt that his life was very different from most people who had easy access to start their careers. "Some people struggle with BMWs, they start their journey by working with the best directors in the country. I started after attending 250 auditions," he said.

Shahid admitted that he often felt trapped by difficult circumstances. "Throughout my life, I felt stuck in situations that didn't support me," he said. However, despite facing various challenges, Shahid never felt entitled to ask his father for help to enter the film world. "Even though I have a good relationship with my father, I was too embarrassed to ask for his help," Shahid explained.

Shahid further explained that since childhood, he lived with his mother who had to work hard to support them. His mother, who was a Kathak dancer, did not have much time to support him in his film career. "My mother stopped working when my younger brother, Ishaan, was born. At that time, I was 14 years old. Being a working mother with a teenager and a baby is not easy," he said.

He also added, "My mother was 35-36 years old when Ishaan was born, and having a child at that age is not easy. Moreover, she was in her second marriage, so there were many challenges to face." This difficult situation prevented his mother from providing direct support for Shahid in his film career.

Shahid revealed that although living with all the limitations, he feels that the struggle has shaped his character. "I find it very difficult to start, but I have no other choice. I have to keep fighting to achieve my goals," he said. The less supportive circumstances made him even more eager to prove himself.
