Nunung recently revealed to the public how she had breast cancer. She underwent a series of treatments such as chemotherapy. The effects of chemotherapy caused her hair to fall out. Now Nunung often appears wearing a turban or wig. Here are the details.

Nunung revealed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2023. Many were surprised because Nunung appeared to be fine all this time.

A series of treatments were carried out. One of the treatments that cannot be missed is chemotherapy. She admitted that she had to undergo chemotherapy for 4 to 6 times.

"Alhamdulillah, I can still work, every 3 weeks (chemo), they say if not 4-6 times (chemo)," she said as quoted from the Cumi Cumi Youtube channel.

"If there is no nausea, people say they feel nauseous, but Alhamdulillah I don't. Only in the bones there is a feeling of fatigue like someone who is exhausted. I can still work, there are no obstacles," she added.

Furthermore, Nunung said that chemotherapy must be undergone at least 4 times. If the lump doesn't shrink, it must be chemotherapized again up to 6 times.

Although still able to work, Nunung admitted that there are side effects from the treatment she underwent, namely severe hair loss.

"This hair has started to thin out, that's why it's covered," explained the comedian who started her career through the Srimulat comedy group. Now, Nunung often appears wearing turbans or wigs.

Nunung admitted that she is sad about her condition. "I must have cried, I cried but thank God I can still use this (turban) to cover (my hair loss)," said Nunung.
