The father of siblings Ammar Zoni and Aditya Zoni passed away on Saturday (20/1) night. The man named Suhendri Zoni passed away at the age of 58. The family had kept his illness a secret. However, after completing the funeral procession, Aditya revealed the illness that befell his father. Curious about the details?
The funeral of Ammar Zoni and Aditya Zoni's father was held at TPU Kalimulya 1, Depok, West Java, on Sunday (21/1).
To the media, Aditya Zoni revealed the cause of his father's death, "From the beginning, it wasn't revealed in the media. Papa passed away due to late-stage cancer. Liver cancer."
Aditya Zoni said that he was by Suhendri Zoni's side in the final moments. He mentioned that he already knew this would happen.
"I accompanied him until his last breath. I truly saw Papa was no longer there at eight o'clock in the evening," said Aditya Zoni.
"I already knew it would happen today. The positive thing is that Papa is no longer in pain," he continued.
Furthermore, Aditya Zoni explained that Suhendri Zoni's condition was normal in the morning.
Therefore, Aditya briefly excused himself to attend a party event. However, his father's condition suddenly became critical in the afternoon.
"In the morning, I had good communication with Papa. I also excused myself to attend the event. But in the afternoon, I was informed about his critical condition. From the event, I went straight to Sentul," explained Aditya.
Aditya Zoni and the family have known that Suhendri Zoni's life expectancy is not long. The doctor has diagnosed that he has about three to five months left to live.
"The doctor only said (remaining life) could be five months, could be three months. The illness doesn't know exactly when it started, but Papa started complaining in August 2023. The worst was in November-December," said Aditya.
