"Yes, (Ammar Zoni) was arrested," said Trunoyudo when confirmed by reporters in Jakarta on Friday (10/3). This is the second time Ammar Zoni has been involved in the same case.
Previously, Ammar Zoni was arrested by the police for involvement with drugs in mid-2017. When arrested by the police, Ammar Zoni was found to have marijuana and crystal meth.
Getting caught up in drugs again, it can still be remembered how Irish Bella tried to convince herself to marry Ammar who was then a former drug addict.
"I want to be serious, I want to repent and go towards the right path, because I'm sure, you also know that my past was not good, and you also know that your past was not good, he was also in the same position and wants to repent too," explained Irish Bella in her interview with Daniel Mananta in mid-2020.
Yes, wanting to repent and become better together is one of the reasons why Irish wants to marry Ammar Zoni. Even then, Irish Bella's mother did not easily give her blessing.
Ammar himself convinced Irish's mother and promised to take care of the artist, who is usually called Ibel. Interestingly, instead of looking at Ammar's past, Irish's mother saw potential in Ammar Zoni at that time.
"Mom Irish doesn't look at that, okay my mistake is only one, but my strengths and potential are many," said Ammar Zoni as quoted from nakita.grid.id in 2019.
Although already confident to move forward together towards a better future, Irish herself once admitted how drugs are circulating in the entertainment industry. In fact, she admitted that she had been offered.
"There must be (offered), because most of them are like that in the entertainment world. It all goes back to ourselves," said Ibel in 2018 as quoted from Bintang tabloid.
"I prefer choosing friends, as long as we have strong principles and faith, God willing, we will be kept away from negative things," she said at that time.
