Suti Karno, who played Mpok Atun in the soap opera SI DOEL ANAK SEKOLAHAN, is known to have had diabetes for about 18 years. Due to the disease, Suti Karno's right leg had to be amputated.

As reported on kemenkes.go.id, diabetes can pose a potential threat to the toes because it damages nerves and narrows blood vessels, reducing blood flow.

After the amputation, Suti Karno shared her portrait while trying to stand on two legs. Although Suti's right leg, which had already been amputated, had to be fitted with a prosthetic leg.

"Alhamdulillah after 4 months, I can stand again with both feet. This struggle is still long, adjustments, our togetherness still have to be trained," wrote Suti Karno in her post on Tuesday (2/2).

Fortunately, Suti Karno always gets support from her friends to be able to rise from her condition. Suti Karno is also happy to be able to gather with her friends even though her right leg has been amputated.

In late February, Suti Karno shared her portrait when she tried to walk with her prosthetic leg. She was also so enthusiastic about getting better.

"For me, life must always rise, fight and be full of spirit, if I fall then rise again, be spirited again, can't give up just like that!" wrote Suti Karno in the caption of her post.

In one occasion, Suti Karno mentioned that her diabetes was caused by her unhealthy lifestyle.

"Because I didn't want to drink plain water before. I drank soft drinks and sweet iced tea," said Suti Karno on Trans TV, South Jakarta, Monday (9/1/2023).

After the amputation, Suti Karno immediately changed her lifestyle. Not only that, the eating patterns of Rano Karno's sister also became very regular after undergoing the surgery.

"Oh yeah, if it's about lifestyle, it's because now I can't eat freely, because I was taught that good eating habits have specific times. Now, I stop eating breakfast and can't eat again until 10 o'clock, when I can have a snack, eat bread, cake or fruit," she said.
