11 Portraits of Angelina Sondakh Participating in Carrying Her Father's Coffin and Digging the Grave in Liang Lahat

Passing away since Sunday (30/10), the body of Angelina Sondakh's father, Lucky Sondakh, was finally buried at San Diego Hills on Wednesday (2/11) around 15:00 WIB. Passing away at the age of 78, Lucky closed his age due to a heart attack.

Although she is grieving and cannot stop crying, Angelina Sondakh, who appears strong, was seen helping to carry her father's coffin to his final resting place.

When asked why she chose to assist in carrying her father's coffin to the grave, Angelina Sondakh admitted that this is a form of her filial devotion as a child.

"My devotion to my father cannot repay all the goodness he has shown me. So I promised myself to accompany daddy until his final resting place," she said.

The woman, who is familiarly called Angie, was occasionally seen wiping her tears during the prayer ceremony before the body was laid to rest.

Wearing all-black attire and hijab, Angie's tears kept flowing as she listened to her mother's speech, who also couldn't hold back her tears during the funeral.

Angie mentioned that the corruption case 10 years ago had hurt and saddened Lucky Sondakh's heart. Moreover, her father was very loyal in accompanying her when visiting the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), being imprisoned in the Detention Center (Rutan), and visiting her for 10 years at Pondok Bambu Prison in East Jakarta.

Throughout the funeral process, the late Adjie Massaid's wife continuously comforted her deeply affected mother-in-law over Lucky Sondakh's departure.

Not only did Angie carry her father's coffin, but she also took the initiative to help the funeral workers dig the ground to cover her father's grave.

Angie feels that what she did during Lucky's funeral cannot be replaced by her father's struggle when he was in prison for 10 years.

While looking at a photo of her late father, she didn't forget to bid farewell, "Goodbye, dad." She also didn't forget to pray for all the deceased's good deeds to be accepted by God Almighty.
