After holding a religious gathering and continuing with mano pucok, Cut Meyriska and Roger Danuarta held a night event called berinai.
During this berinai night, Cut Meyriska will decorate her nails with crushed henna leaves. This is a Minangkabau tradition that Chika used in one of her wedding ceremonies.
Before the berinai night event took place, Chika sought blessings from her parents and elder family members who were present there.
This is the henna leaves that will be crushed and applied to Chika's nails. Unlike ready-made henna paste, henna leaves need to be crushed directly at the wedding location.
One by one, Chika's nails are adorned with henna. There are a total of 9 nails decorated with crushed henna leaves. The meaning behind this is that humans are not perfect. Meanwhile, the number 10 represents perfection, which belongs only to God.
After being left overnight, the nails decorated with henna will change color to red.
After the henna application is complete, Roger Danuarta meets Cut Meyriska. They then have a photo session with these amazing results.
