Frequently portraying antagonistic characters in soap operas, Hana Saraswati revealed that she had experienced unpleasant treatment from loyal viewers of her soap opera. She admitted to being pinched by mothers when they met at the mall.
"If in the real world I've been pinched at the mall. But I've never been cursed at and now during the pandemic, I rarely go anywhere. The comments (from mothers) who pinched me are 'really mean, you're so rude'," said Hana Saraswati during a recent virtual interview.
Not only being pinched, the actress of the soap opera BUKU HARIAN SEORANG ISTRI is also accustomed to receiving insults on social media.
"On social media, almost all the comments are 'I swear I curse you to be an old virgin', all kinds of insults," she said.
Because she often portrays antagonist characters, Hana Saraswati admitted that she sometimes feels tired. She really wants to someday get a protagonist role.
“If there are many emotional scenes like that, it's tiring. If I work like this, the focus is on the physical and mental aspects because emotions are also involved. I want to play the protagonist, I have played the antagonist in several soap operas. Who knows, maybe being a protagonist suits me. If the protagonist is different and the challenge is to portray a grumpy face,” she concluded.
