7 Beautiful Portraits of Dian Sastrowardoyo's Involvement in the Series 'RATU ADIL', Feeling Indirectly Insulted by the Universe Because of This...

Dian Sastrowardoyo is involved in a crime drama series titled RATU ADIL produced by Timo Tjahjanto. Dian was chosen to play the central character named Lasja Soeryo, a wife and mother who tries to save her family from danger.

When first offered to be involved in the series RATU ADIL, Dian didn't need much time to accept. Because this story idea came from Sigi Wimala and was later developed by Upi and Tommy Dewo.

"I first heard about this story idea from Sigi Wimala in 2019. I have a lot of respect because the idea came from a housewife," said Dian, when met in the Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (22/2/2024).

"I always have great sympathy for others who dare to step out of their comfort zone. And Sigi came up with a brave and brilliant idea," continued the wife of Indraguna Sutowo.

Just like GADIS KRETEK, RATU ADIL also brings the spirit of women empowerment. Dian Sastrowardoyo admitted that she accidentally chose a project that showcases the strength of a woman and felt touched.

"I am grateful to have played strong roles that always discuss or bring up women empowerment issues. Is this a harsh irony from the universe towards myself? In real life, I still wonder and prove to myself whether women empowerment can be realized," said Dian.

In this RATU ADIL series, Dian Sastrowardoyo is required to have action scenes with firearms. To do that, thorough training is needed to make it look convincing.

"For gun fights, there is training on how to handle firearms. So there were many training sessions during the approximately one-month preparation. But during shooting breaks, I tried to practice. So it was really packed," said Dian Sastro.
