Senior actor Mat Solar passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 10:30 PM WIB at Pondok Indah Hospital, Jakarta.
His departure left a deep sorrow in the heart of Haidar Rasyad, commonly known as Popon, his son. Popon appeared unable to hold back his tears at Mat Solar's funeral.
He even went down to the grave and participated in burying Mat Solar's body. Popon seemed to keep reciting prayers. Occasionally, he lifted his head to hold back tears.
However, no matter what, his tears kept flowing. Monitored from his Instagram, Popon had been crying since Monday (17/3). He was not by his father's side when he passed away.
"Oh Allah, why did my father have to die while I was outside. Oh Allah, I didn't get to talk to my father for the last time, Oh Allah," he wrote.
"Dad, I will really miss you, Oh Allah, I love you so much, Dad. I'm sorry if I couldn't make you happy," he continued.
Popon also promised to continue Mat Solar's career as an actor. He briefly highlighted the date of his father's passing. "12 Ramadan, the date my father was called by the One Above indicates very positive. A father who is at peace in heaven," said Popon.
