The recent appearance of Paula Verhoeven has been attracting public attention as she confidently wears the hijab. Paula's husband, Baim Wong, hopes that what his beloved wife has done will make her become a better person. As a husband, he mentioned that he can only guide Paula in terms of religion.
"Hopefully, what she's doing will be better, Insya Allah. There is also guidance, so hopefully it will improve and make her more mature in life. As a husband, I can only guide," said Baim Wong when met in the GBK area, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (28/4/2024).
"I've never taught her about the 5 daily prayers, I've never forced her," he added.
Baim Wong then mentioned that Paula's desire to wear the hijab arose when she returned from umrah recently.
"Anyway, when we returned from umrah, she suddenly said she wanted to wear the hijab," said Baim Wong.
As a husband, Baim Wong fully supports his wife's decision to wear the hijab. The most important thing is that Paula must accept all the consequences in the future.
"I said it's allowed, but wearing a hijab comes with heavy consequences, meaning you have to be fully prepared for everything, not just putting it on and off if it doesn't suit you later on," said this 43-year-old man.
Regarding the changes that have occurred in Paula since wearing the hijab, Baim Wong is reluctant to pass judgment on his beloved wife.
"You can evaluate the changes yourself because we're still new, it's only been a few days, so if I say anything, evaluate it yourself," concluded Baim Wong.
