Social media, especially Twitter, is currently discussing the figure of Mgdalenaf, a food vlogger who has the catchphrase Bar-bar Kuy! The owner of the real name Magdalena Fridawati suddenly went viral for complaining about not being properly welcomed by a restaurant owner. From there, many netizens criticized her.
In a podcast uploaded on Samuel Christ's YouTube channel, Magda admitted that she was once not treated well by a restaurant owner when offering a collaboration in the form of exposure.
"I went to the restaurant, I showed how many followers I have, how much I can help. 'Yes, but this is business, what will I get,'" said Magda while telling how the restaurant owner responded.
"In my heart, 'This guy's value is priceless, you know.' If you were asked to pay me, how much could you pay? Like that," she continued.
That statement is now backfiring on Magda. Many netizens are actually criticizing the 29-year-old YouTuber.
Until now, Magda has been known as a food vlogger who loves to eat a lot and is strong in consuming food with extreme spiciness levels.
The number of followers on social media is indeed not small. More than 2 million people are her followers on Instagram. While the number of subscribers to her Youtube channel has reached 4.2 million people.
But who would have thought that Magda actually took criminology as her major in college. She also worked in accordance with her major before becoming a youtuber like now.
Until now, the Bekasi-based Youtuber has not spoken out about her viral statement.Â
