Musician Andien took real action to express her concern for others. Recently, Andien opened a free school in the Pemulung village, Rawa Bebek, North Jakarta. Andien believes education is the gateway to achieving higher aspirations. What are the snapshots like?

Andien admitted she was touched when she set foot there. The children in the village looked so bright as they welcomed the opportunity to go to school.

"In the midst of this pile of garbage, we built a school. Not luxurious, but enough to serve as a guiding sign," wrote Andien at the beginning of her post caption.

Andien is known as one of the artists with a strong social and humanitarian spirit. She founded an organization to help underprivileged communities access equal facilities.

The Rawa Bebek Scavenger Village itself is located under the bridge with such a shabby condition.

The situation is worsened by the many piles of used goods which ironically have become the livelihood of most of the village's residents.

By providing free education, Andien hopes that the community in the village can have high hopes for a better life.
