Deddy also explained that the rank has become a new job for him.

"The titular title gives me work. I have visited more than twenty universities in Indonesia to talk about defending the country," said Deddy when met in Pasar Baru, Central Jakarta, last Saturday.

Before being given the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel, Deddy Corbuzier was tasked with speaking about national defense to millennials and Generation Z. Because these groups are said to have forgotten the lyrics of Indonesia Raya and forgotten who the national heroes are.

"When I was 'titulated', they said to me 'Can you give a seminar about national defense for millennials and Generation Z? So that they can be aware of national defense. I asked 'Why?', and the answer was 'Because many of them don't even know the lyrics of Indonesia Raya'," he said.

"They don't know when RA Kartini was born, many Indonesian people don't know who Sudirman is. Children who study in international schools don't know about the Bandung Lautan Api (the Battle of Surabaya)," explained Deddy.

Deddy Corbuzier revealed that he was not paid when carrying out his duties regarding national defense. Even the allowance for holding a titular position did not reach one million.

Deddy once stated that the allowance would not be used and would be returned to the country.

"In the past (when filling events) at my university, I was paid, but once I was 'titled' for national defense, I was not paid. The full salary was 700 thousand," said the husband of Sabrina Chairunnisa.
