8 Portraits of Dinar Candy as the Chair of Umi Pipik's Study, Seeking Life Balance Amidst the Glamour of the Night World

Dinar Candy has long been known as a Disc Jockey (DJ) with a bold appearance on stage. However, behind that image, Dinar has secretly been actively participating in religious studies led by Umi Pipik. Not only a participant, Dinar has even been entrusted to be the chairperson of the study since last year.

"I've been doing this since last year, I forgot the exact date. I was appointed by Umi Pipik and supported by other participants," Dinar Candy said when contacted by reporters on Saturday (15/3/2025). Here are the details.

Dinar acknowledges that this activity is part of her search for life balance amidst her profession that often involves the nightlife. For her, having a spiritual foundation is very important so she does not get carried away in the glittering life as a DJ.

"Yes, for the sake of balance. So, being a queen of the night as a DJ, but also being the head of the study group. So, life has its limits, not just going all out," explained the woman whose full name is Ai Dinar Miswari.

Dinar admitted to regularly attending Umi Pipik's study sessions since last year. According to her, the discussions in that assembly are very relatable to everyday life, making her increasingly interested in deepening her religious knowledge.

Interestingly, Dinar didn't just come to the assembly alone. Her father also attended the study led by Umi Pipik, although he only came once, during the month of Ramadan last year.

"Father has only attended the study group once. Just during the fasting month, to maintain ties with my study group friends and Umi Pipik," he revealed.

When asked whether his religious activities indicate a desire to migrate (hijrah), Dinar chose to leave everything to God's will. Currently, he admits he is still undergoing a spiritual process that he believes will lead to the right decision at the right time. "If hijrah is meant to happen, it will be from Allah, but right now, not yet," he said briefly.

Although he continues to pursue his profession as a DJ, Dinar is grateful to be part of Umi Pipik's study group. He feels that being present in that assembly helps him stay more controlled and find balance amidst the two worlds he navigates. "Alhamdulillah, as the head of the study group, I always attend to support @umi_pipik," he concluded.
