Dorman Borisman passed away on Tuesday night (7/5/2024) at RS Moh Ridwan Meuraksa, East Jakarta. The senior actor took his last breath at the age of 73 due to complications.
After the funeral process at TPU Susukan, Ciracas area, East Jakarta, Sukowati, his wife, said that Dorman had been in and out of the hospital for five years.
Various diseases attacked his body, from stroke, kidney, diabetes, and the latest one informed by the doctor is the lungs.
"(He is) suffering from stroke, diabetes, kidney, and recently diagnosed with lung disease, which was very surprising," said Sukowati while unable to hold back tears.
The diabetes he suffered caused Dorman's left leg to develop bedsores, resulting in amputation.
During the funeral process, the buried leg from a week before was dug up to be placed in one grave.
"Diabetes wounds are not to be taken lightly. Bedsores spread very quickly. The doctor has been treating it from a small diameter, but it immediately spread to the entire leg," explained Sukowati.
"It took three months until it couldn't be saved anymore, finally his leg had to be amputated," he continued.
Sukowati admitted that she has willingly let go of Dorman Borisman's departure forever. She is grateful to be able to accompany her loved one's struggle until the end.
"Alhamdulillah, I could accompany my husband until the end," Sukowati concluded.
