Achmad Hermanto Dardak the parent of East Java Deputy Governor, Emil Dardak, and also the parent-in-law of Arumi Bachsin died in a traffic accident on the Trans Java Toll Road in the Pemalang-Batang section, Central Java, early Saturday morning, (20/8/2022). Hermanto's body was then taken to the funeral home in the Duren Sawit area, East Jakarta, on the same day and was greeted by family members, including Emil Dardak and Arumi Bachsin. According to KapanLagi.com's observation at the location, Hermanto's body arrived around 12:50 PM. Emil Dardak helped carry his father's coffin from the funeral car to the funeral home.
"Our father has passed away. He was a former deputy minister of public works from 2009-2014, and our family is deeply saddened but also willing to accept the departure of the deceased in his last service," said Emil Dardak at the funeral home on Saturday (20/8/2022).
"He was discussing and helping to socialize our big plan to move IKN. Because he was also entrusted by the Ministry of Public Works as the head of the IKN infrastructure directorate team. I was certainly shocked to hear this news this morning and just arrived in Jakarta," added Emil Dardak.
Emil Dardak's wife, Arumi Bachsin, and family are waiting for the arrival of the father-in-law's body in front of the funeral home.
The family's tears broke as soon as the body arrived at the funeral home gate. Arumi also tried to strengthen one of the families who were also waiting for the arrival of Hermanto's body.
In addition to the family, several officials have arrived to pay their respects to Hermanto at the funeral home, such as Agus Harimutri Yudhoyono (AHY), the Governor of DKI, Anies Baswedan.
It is planned that the 6th President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, will also pay his respects to Hermanto.
"Mr. SBY also plans to pay his respects, but we arrived earlier today. I want to encourage and strengthen Mas Emil Dardak," said Agus Harimutri at the funeral home.
