The rumors about Fuji and Asnawi have certainly spread widely on social media, so it's no wonder that the family knows about it. As a father, Haji Faisal admitted to directly asking Fuji about the news.
"I have asked directly, she said there is nothing yet, they just know each other and there is nothing special," said Haji Faisal when met at his residence in West Jakarta, not long ago.
He also asked how his child could get to know and now be close to Asnawi. "He got to know him when he was traveling to Japan. His friend's husband had a friend, that's it. There is no relationship whatsoever," he said.
When asked if he approves of Fuji's relationship with Asnawi, Haji Faisal couldn't answer. He admitted that he must first see and get to know Asnawi more deeply.
"Whether I agree or not, I have to study it first, I have to know the background. We shouldn't be deceived again," he said.
As a parent, Haji Faisal can only give advice and input to his daughter. He still leaves the decision to his child.
"We will certainly provide input even though the decision remains in the hands of the child. But usually children listen to input from their parents. As for me, I want to be on the same frequency," he said.
So far, according to Haji Faisal, Fuji hasn't talked much about Asnawi. He also hasn't met Asnawi. I wonder if Fuji will let Asnawi come to his house? "Let alone being introduced, I only know him from YouTube. I just asked him (Fuji)," he added.
