When Zaskia Adya Mecca and Hanung Bramantyo's child, Kala, just underwent an appendicitis surgery. At first, Zaskia thought that Kala only had a common stomachache, so she was relaxed, until Kala asked to go to the doctor and it was found out that he actually had appendicitis and needed immediate surgery.
Zaskia regrets being relaxed in responding to her child's complaints. Apparently, Kala had already put a letter on the door two days before they went to the hospital.
Kala started complaining of stomach pain to Zaskia on Tuesday. However, she remained calm about it until Kala complained of pain again on Friday and asked to see a doctor.
Zaskia was relaxed because Kala had always been a strong and drama-free child. However, it turned out that Kala had written a letter on Wednesday and posted it on the door, but Zaskia only read it on Friday.
When examined at the emergency department, it turned out that Kala had appendicitis and needed to undergo surgery as soon as possible. Zaskia and Hanung were given two options for Kala's surgery, namely laparoscopy and conventional surgery.
When Hanung heard that the cost of laparoscopic surgery amounted to Rp120 million, he initially planned to withdraw and move to another hospital. However, Zaskia prohibited it because Kala was already receiving intravenous fluids and ready for surgery.
Zaskia asks Hanung to relax because they have insurance. So, in the end, they both chose laparoscopic surgery so that Kala wouldn't be in too much pain and could recover faster.
On Saturday (2/9), Kala finally entered the operating room. Although they had to pay an additional fee of Rp25 million, Zaskia was relieved because her child was well taken care of.
Less than 10 hours after the surgery, Kala was able to walk on their own. Laparoscopic surgery indeed minimizes pain and shortens the healing process of the wound, so Kala could immediately feel refreshed.
Now, Kala is already smiling again and ready to play soccer. Hopefully, they will recover quickly as before, Kala.
