According to Luna, her interest in tennis started because of her friends' influence. "At first, I just joined because it seemed easy," said Luna Maya in BSD, Tangerang, on Wednesday (6/12/2023).
Apparently, playing tennis is not as easy as she thought. At the beginning of playing tennis, Luna admitted that she had difficulties. "When I tried it, it was really difficult. It's not as easy as we think because the technique and muscle memory need frequent practice before we can really adjust. It's a bit difficult if we rarely play," she said.
According to Luna Maya, beginners like herself are prone to injuries and she has experienced it. Her right arm ligament was injured due to incorrect technique in hitting the ball.
"If you're not able to do it yet, there's a tendency for injuries. Maybe the way you hold the racket is wrong, the way you hit is wrong," said Luna Maya.
Fortunately, the injury she experienced wasn't too severe. "It was only the ligament that got affected. It healed in one or two weeks," she said.
Luna Maya will participate in the tennis tournament organized by Rans Sportainment on December 23, 2023, entitled Tennis Sport Party: Clash of Celebrity.
In Tennis Sport Party: Clash of Celebrity, Luna Maya joins the red team along with Dion Wiyoko, Tata Ginting, Rezky Aditya, and Gege Elisa.
The red team will face the blue team led by Raffi Ahmad, with members Desta, Dikta, Nagita Slavina, and Yura Yunita. Stay tuned for the exciting match!
