Comedian Nunung recently underwent breast removal surgery due to the cancer she suffered. As time goes by, after the surgery her condition has started to improve.
Even now Nunung has resumed her activities. When met in Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (4/7), Nunung was seen wearing a wig.
When asked, Nunung said that she is not ashamed of her baldness due to chemotherapy that she underwent. "I'm really happy, I'm not ashamed," she said.
Nunung also admitted that her hair has started to grow back. "Yes, it's more like a wig. (Hair) has grown, it has grown," she added.
In addition, Nunung also said that she already feels relieved because she has undergone surgery. However, her feeling of relief is still slightly hindered because she still has to undergo chemotherapy for a complete recovery.
"Relieved, but not a hundred percent because I still have chemo (chemotherapy)," said the owner of the real name Tri Retno Prayudati.
Nevertheless, Nunung is grateful that the cancer cells did not spread to other parts of her body. Therefore, her recovery period is considered short.
"Yesterday after the surgery, the doctor said 'Alhamdulillah, Sister Nunung, there is no spread of cancer cells anywhere'," she said.
Nunung underwent breast cancer removal surgery on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Previously, Nunung revealed that she had to undergo six rounds of chemotherapy before being able to undergo the surgery. After two rounds of chemo, Nunung's tumor shrank.
After the surgery, the comedian born on April 5, 1963, revealed that she still has to undergo chemotherapy. She hopes that she won't have to undergo too many rounds of chemo.
