She stated that the photo was edited and explained that she never uploaded anything indecent in public.
"There are several photos of me that have been falsely circulated as nude on Twitter and other social media," wrote Titan Tyra on Instagram, Tuesday (27/7/2021).
The worst part is, he even experienced extortion from the perpetrator who tried to take advantage of the situation.
"Lately, I have been receiving emails, some of which use extortion language. Even though the photo is fake," she said.
She mentioned that this extortion not only happened to her. There may be many other women who are victims.
"Thousands of women have become victims. If you are not familiar with forgery like this, try searching Google for 'fake nude women photos edited with deepfake'. There will be hundreds of articles about this," she said.
She also mentioned that she will bring this issue to the legal domain, as it falls under criminal acts.
"This is a global issue and includes cybercrime. Cybercrime is a criminal act and can be legally prosecuted," she concluded.
