Oki Setiana Dewi always remains patient in caring for and raising her youngest son, Sulaiman, and is always grateful for her child's achievements in his growth process. As is known, baby Sulaiman has a special condition that requires extra attention in order to keep up with the development of children his age. Recently, Oki Setiana Dewi shared moments of therapy with her beloved child, who is now 9 months old. Let's take a look at the photos.
Baby Sulaiman, who suffers from Prader-Willi Syndrome and Hypotonia, has been undergoing a series of therapies since the age of 2 months. In a week, this tiny baby can undergo 4 therapy sessions.
The therapy that baby Sulaiman has to undergo is not only one, but three at once. Including physiotherapy, speech therapy, and also respiratory therapy using assistive devices.
Due to the genetic disorder he suffers from, it is said that baby Sulaiman often experiences sleep apnea or stops breathing while asleep, so therapy is very helpful.
Baby Sulaiman's respiratory therapy uses a device called CPAP (continuos positive airway pressure) which functions to deliver oxygen through a tube and mask while sleeping.
Oki revealed that baby Sulaiman can experience a decrease in oxygen saturation below 70 while sleeping without using CPAP because his breathing stops for 10 seconds.
In addition to therapy and overall check-ups on baby Sulaiman's condition, Oki also learned how to use CPAP at home, so she had to stay at the hospital.
Oki provided CPAP for her late father to use during sleep due to his snoring. Ria Ricis' sister explained that snoring is a sign of respiratory problems.
During CPAP therapy, baby Sulaiman initially became fussy because he was not used to wearing the device. However, it didn't take long for Sulaiman to get used to sleeping comfortably with CPAP.
After undergoing a series of examinations, it was found that baby Sulaiman was in very good condition and had developed much better than before, so he could go home quickly.
