Iwan Fals is known to the public as a legendary musician of the homeland who has produced a long list of excellent works that often criticize the government. Iwan Fals occupies a house on a 2-hectare land since the reform era in 1998. In addition to being a family residence, this house also has other cool functions.
In Iwan Fals' yard, there are 4 well-maintained graves. In addition to the graves of his brother and son, Galang Rambu Anarki, there are also the graves of two previous landowners.
Iwan Fals and his wife had to name each part of the house to make it easier to remember and differentiate, marked by name boards attached to the building walls.
The residence, which Iwan Fals calls a 'workhouse,' is also equipped with a multipurpose hall. As the name suggests, this part of the house has been used for various purposes.
This multipurpose room also functions as a karate dojo, inaugurated directly by Wadokai Karate-Do Indonesia. In this dojo, Iwan Fals has produced many karate athletes.
As a musician, it would be incomplete if Iwan Fals' house is not equipped with a studio. This studio is planned to be rented out to the public.
Not just any studio, Fals Record provides a super large recording space that can accommodate orchestras at once.
Iwan Fals also has his own concert stage at his house. This outdoor venue is said to be able to accommodate up to 7000 spectators.
Many people from outside visit, especially during events, Iwan Fals also provides lined-up bathrooms in one corner of his house. Interestingly, Iwan Fals took the initiative to convert the waste from these bathrooms into biogas. Very cool, KLovers!
