The condition of infrastructure in the Nias Islands has come under scrutiny after the Governor of North Sumatra, Bobby Nasution, conducted various work visits. This includes visiting schools that still have wooden walls and zinc roofs.

It is known that Bobby Nasution has served as the Governor of North Sumatra since February 20, 2025. He also conducted work visits to various public facilities in Nias, including schools.
One of the locations visited was SMKN 1 Gido, a school that is considered not yet suitable. During his visit to Nias, Bobby Nasution was accompanied by his wife, Kahiyang Ayu.
The school atmosphere still looks very simple and far from modern. This is because the school still uses walls made of boards and a roof of zinc.
Bobby Nasution expressed his concern when seeing the school building. Nevertheless, he emphasized that the reconstruction of this school will begin this year at a more suitable location.
For him, education is a key pillar to realize the Golden Indonesia 2045. Providing adequate educational facilities is also a priority program for Bobby Nasution.
Kahiyang Ayu, who also serves as the Chairperson of the TP PKK of North Sumatra, was seen accompanying her husband's work visit. Her presence shows support for education and community welfare programs in Nias.
During this moment, Bobby Nasution and Kahiyang Ayu also met with teachers and students. Warm interactions were evident from various photos shared through social media accounts.
Interestingly, there is one photo where Bobby Nasution and Kahiyang Ayu are giving a bicycle as a gift to one of the students. A smile radiated as this student received the gift from the Governor of North Sumatra.
