Zaskia Adya Mecca became an impromptu tour guide when Shireen Sungkar visited Yogyakarta with her family. Enjoying the city atmosphere, they rode a motorcycle together to the must-visit tourist spots in Yogyakarta. What was the excitement like? Check out the slide photos below.
After living in Yogyakarta for a long time, Zaskia Adya Mecca finally had a reason to visit tourist destinations when Shireen Sungkar arrived. They chose to ride a motorcycle to explore Yogyakarta.
At first, Zaskia was a bit hesitant to ride with Shireen because she was not used to riding with adults. However, Zaskia proved her ability to ride a motorcycle perfectly on the streets of Yogyakarta.
Zaskia and Shireen seemed to enjoy their journey while chatting on the motorcycle. Shireen chose to wear big sunglasses to protect her eyes from the bright sun of Yogyakarta.
They arrived at the first destination, which was not far from Zaskia Adya Mecca's residence. Although she was good at riding a motorcycle, Zaskia admitted that she did not dare to ride far from home.
Because of the excitement of going out with Zaskia, Shireen forgot to take off her helmet after getting off the motorcycle. Teuku Wisnu's wife had to go back to the motorcycle to take off the helmet on her head.
The first tourist destination visited by Zaskia and Shireen is Taman Sari, a former garden or palace garden of the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Palace, where the royal family used to bathe.
Afterwards, Zaskia invited Shireen to taste a Yogyakarta specialty that is not well known, called Brongkos. This food is similar to gudeg in terms of composition, but it has more broth.
Not forgetting, Zaskia and Shireen visited Mamahke Jogja cake shop owned by Zaskia Adya Mecca. This store is one of the must-visit destinations for tourists visiting Yogyakarta.
As fellow cake shop owners who usually target tourists, Shireen and Zaskia feel the impact of the pandemic that has hit their business. However, they do not stop innovating to survive.
