Kapanlagi.com - For the past three months, Mayang Lucyana Fitri has been regularly seen moving around the DPR RI Building in Senayan, Jakarta. It turns out, Mayang is undergoing an internship program there that has provided many new and unforgettable experiences.

"The experience during my time at the DPR MPR is so much fun, I gained a lot of experience, made many friends, and learned a lot as well, not just a lot, but mostly enjoyable, with a little bit of hardship," said Mayang when met in the Bintaro area, South Tangerang, on Saturday (26/10/2024).

According to her, the most memorable thing was meeting her mentor who was very patient and diligent in teaching her many new things.

"I really like that I was introduced to my mentor who is really nice, I mean, he is so patient in teaching me, like teaching things that I didn’t know before so I know now," she said.

Mayang then shared another experience that amazed her, which was when she was introduced to various meeting rooms in the DPR Building.

"Then, I was shown the meeting rooms of the DPR members, wow I was really amazed to see that, the plenary hall of the DPR MPR is that vast, and during the members' meeting when I was present, I was like wow this is so cool, I was really amazed," she said.

However, behind the joy she felt, Mayang also experienced tense moments during a large demonstration around the DPR Building. In fact, she admitted to having an unexpected moment when she was hit by tear gas.

"The sad part was during the demonstration. It was a really chaotic time; I couldn't go home until late at night because everyone knows how chaotic it was during the demo, at the DPR building, front and back, everything was destroyed. I even got hit by tear gas, and it was really painful," said Mayang.

Seeing the demonstration up close was also a new experience for Mayang, who had previously only watched demos on television.

"I was shocked because all this time I had only seen demonstrations on TV, but this time I experienced a demo right in front of me, where the enthusiasm of the people wanting to voice their hearts to the DPR was truly palpable," she said.

"Honestly, I am scared of getting hit by stones, I also got hit by tear gas which really hurts, and my breathing was disturbed," she concluded. Â
