After being laid in state at the Grand Heaven funeral home since Tuesday evening (6/9), Reza Gunawan's body, husband of Dewi Lestari or Dee Lestari, was cremated this afternoon (8/9). Although she feels grief, Dee appears strong and continues to smile at the mourners who come to pay their last respects to her husband.
The process of closing Reza Gunawan's coffin, husband of Dee Lestari, took place this afternoon (8/9) at the Grand Heaven Funeral Home, Pluit, Jakarta.
Before her husband's casket was closed, Dee Lestari expressed her gratitude to the family, relatives, and mourners who came to the house of mourning.
"Although there is a sense of grief within me, but in reality we are all celebrating Reza's life. Here we kneel together, celebrating his life," said the author of the novel Perahu Kertas.
Despite trying to be strong, Dee and her daughter's tears finally burst when Reza's casket was closed. Dee tried to embrace and strengthen her child.
However, Dee Lestari's sincerity in letting go of Reza's departure allowed her to stand strong and still throw a smile when meeting the mourners who came.
Several celebrity friends were also seen attending to pay their final respects to Reza Gunawan.

After the closing ceremony, the family then escorted Reza Gunawan's body to the crematorium.
Reza Gunawan passed away on Tuesday, (6/9) after battling against stroke.
Reza underwent treatment for over 1 month in the hospital. Rest in peace, Reza Gunawan, may you be given the best place by His side.
