Unfortunate news comes from the family of Zaskia Adya Mecca and Hanung Bramantyo. Shortly after this family arrived at their home in Yogyakarta, their two daughters, Sybil and Kala, an assistant along with her daughter, were declared positive for coronavirus infection. Zaskia Adya Mecca's entourage arrived in Yogyakarta on Thursday (10/6/2021) night. During the trip, the entourage had been swabbed negative and did not interact with many people because they only stopped twice at rest areas for toilet and prayer.
On Saturday (12/6/2021) morning, Sybil complained of fever and dizziness. Because the symptoms did not subside, Zaskia decided to do an antigen swab and it turned out to be positive. Not only Sybil, but Kala, an assistant along with her daughter, also tested positive.
Although 4 people in the house tested positive for Covid, Zaskia is still grateful because other family members, including herself and Hanung, showed negative results. Moreover, the other children are still young.
To prevent the virus from spreading to other family members, Sybil, Kala, Mbak Ina, and Syifa live separately to undergo self-isolation. All the needs of Zaskia Adya Mecca's daughters are provided through the window.
Being separated from his beloved children due to illness apparently made Hanung Bramantyo emotional. This famous Indonesian director admitted to feeling emotional seeing his two daughters having to undergo self-isolation from separate windows in the house corridor.
The bedroom window is not the only way to take care of the sick children. Zaskia Adya Mecca is willing to wear complete personal protective equipment when visiting Sybil and Kala's room.
Zaskia Adya Mecca, who was initially very sad and even cried, slowly begins to find a rhythm during self-isolation. Moreover, Sybil's condition is also improving even though Kala started feeling unwell on Monday (14/6/2021).
The trials for Zaskia Adya Mecca's family are not yet over. On Tuesday (15/6/2021), Bhre Kata started showing symptoms of fever and had to undergo a PCR test. Zaskia hopes that there will be no additional family members who test positive.
