Dede Sunandar is among the celebrities who have also experienced difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He mentioned that he has only survived from his savings, as job offers become increasingly rare.

However, he is grateful to have been invited several times as a guest star on television shows, which occasionally earns him income.

"Yes, financially I managed to survive, my savings are getting depleted over time, and work is also rare. I think all artists are the same, they only get invited as guest stars," said Dede in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, as quoted by Intipseleb.

He is also grateful because during the pandemic he received assistance from fellow artists, including Raffi Ahmad, who provided medication for Dede's family.

"Although my savings are running out, I have backup from various sources. There is insurance, and Aa Raffi helps with medication," he said.

In addition, there are also several celebrity friends who provide food assistance such as Deni Cagur, Raffi Ahmad, and Ayu Ting Ting.

"There is food assistance from Dede's friends, like Aa Raffi, Mr. Deni, Mrs. Ayu Ting Ting. Alhamdulillah, it is also helpful," he said.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, Dede himself was known to have sold cireng to stabilize his economy.
